Rudraksh (also known as Blueberry Ash) tree is a large evergreen broadleaf tree. The Seed of the plant is known as rudraksha which is traditional used for prayer beads in Hinduism. This spiritual bead is considered as a personification of Lord Shiva. Rudra Mala typically consists of 108 beads and is used to count the number of repetitions of any prayer or meditation.
Rudraksh tree bears leaves that look very similar to Mango leaves. They have antibacterial properties and are used for treating wounds. The flowers of Rudraksha tree are found to be nearly 15 cm. They grow in bunches and are white in color. The Rudraksha tree Flowers in November – December. The tree takes up to 3-5 years before it starts to bloom after growing.
