Neem is a fast growing and long living tree which is growing everywhere around us nowadays. The various parts of the plant can be used for to make various products. In India it’s various medical benefits have been recognised for many decades.

Mainly the seed kernels of the neem plant is used which contains as much as 50 oil and has dense concentration of active ingredients. Neem oil which is the oil extracted from compressing the seeds is a popular insecticide in the organic world. In India, most of the oil is used to make Neem soap, but there are also neem shampoo, lotion, creams etc.

The leaves are present all year round, since neem tree is an evergreen tree. The leaves also contain the same active ingredients as the seed kernels just in lower concentration.

It is recommended to chew the leaves of the plant, take capsules of dried neem leaves or drink its bitter tea. Its leaves help cleanse blood, strengthens the immune system and help gastrointestinal system etc.
