Siamese Cassia is a small to medium sized tree which grows up to a height of 15-20m, with a high crown and straight bole.

The alternate leaves are pinnate, with a marked furrow, 8-13 pairs of leaflets of different sizes. Leaflets are oblong, rounded at the base. The upper side of the leaf is dark green and shining while the underside dull-green, shortly haired.

The Siamese cassia flowers are yellow colored, measure about 3.5 cm in length, and grow in dense, long racemes at the end of the shoots. The glabrous, slightly curved and brown-colored seed pods grow in dense clusters and contain up to 20 seeds.

The leaves can be used to make compost and flowers used as a vegetables. Senna Siamea possesses many medicinal properties. The tree is commonly planted in avenues and gardens and provide a beautiful look to the spaces they are planted at.
