Silver Oak is a fast growing evergreen tree which sheds its leaves during spring. This tree is pest tolerant and widely used in gardens or in containers, but is also very useful to control erosion around streams and to reclaim old pasture land. It’s is a very ornamental plant and valued especially for its attractive fern like foliage and brilliant orange floral display. The Tree is pyramidal when young, it develops a few horizontal limbs when older, giving it a broader top.
